We are gearing up for the colder weather and beginning to move more of our resources back into our housing business. We currently have three projects under construction, with three more coming online in the next two weeks.
Coach House Project
Our coach house is coming along fairly nicely. The boarding and rough site work are now complete. We continue to see strong demand for these units when we have them available and we recently put this one up for rent for January. We are aiming to have this unit rented out for when construction is complete to avoid any unneeded vacancy.
Floor Lift & Basement Project
We also started an interesting project last week where we have to raise the floor in a home to achieve better head height. This will create more living space. By raising the floor we added enough space to create a 3 bedroom apartment with a large living space.
Without this adjustment it wouldn’t have made sense to complete the space downstairs, since there wasn’t enough space to warrant the investment.
Floor Lift & Basement Project
We started getting this site ready for phase two last week by adding six additional parking spots in the back for the new tenants occupying the property in the coming months. We also added a two lane drive isle behind the parking spaces so that if two cars have to come or go concurrently, they can pass by each other. Additionally, we fenced in private yards for two more tenants at the property to increase the quality of the units.
We are looking forward to phase 2 of this project and getting the new triplex in the ground!
Still have space available!
We still have room for a few projects this winter.
